Now that Instagram is for rich artists/big corporation, EyeEm could be an alternative to enjoy great art, nice social networking, and accessibility. The content is great, concept is well thought, missions are just pushing you to do something and gives inspiration. I would recommend.

Best photo app on the market

I prefer EyeEm to the alternative app because of one reason. In my opinion EyeEm made this app photography first and social second, and I feel the other app was social first and photography second. And in my life photography would be first too. So it won my heart.
